If it is a natural kind of one it will be ok. But just use something like Vaseline while your driving on the dry bits and take it off when the car journey ends or it will clog the pores up and you may get spots. Oh no! Xx :)

It's not "unsafe." Unless your skin is super sensitive or you're allergic to any ingredients you should be able to use it until you can get more of your regular moisturizer. You can do a small patch test, just put a little dab on your face and leave it for a bit and see how your skin reacts. I highly doubt using it one time is going to harm anything, unless, like I mentioned before, your skin is super sensitive. I personally would rather put a body lotion on my face than Vaseline. I have read that putting Vaseline on the skin doesn't allow it to breathe, which I'm sure is worse than using a body lotion one day of the year lol. If your skin is super sensitive you can use a bit of olive oil if you have any around the house. That or any natural oil, or you can pop into a drugstore and check the travel section for a little tube of a facial moisturizer to tide you over.

I agree with Caitlin, body cream won't harm your skin, but vaseline will don't use it.
