I want to start getting more brushes. I currently have quite a few by Quo but I'm looking to use another brand. Could you suggest something that is affordable yet good quality?

Believe it or not elf actually has good brushes from their studio line. They're $3 each and you pick exactly what brushes you want instead of buying a set you'll only half use.

EcoTools:) Some people like them, some don't, but I've never had an issue! Super soft, never had any break or fibers fall out! Good luck hunting;)

I've heard the sigma brushes are meant to be the cheapest and most reliable for your money, they only seem pricey because the kits are bought in bulk :)

Elf is great! I bought a set of 12 brushes for 12 dollars! for that price they work very very well.

Real Techniques are amazing! I watch pixiwoo on YouTube (one of the sisters who runs the channel also makes the brushes). They are synthetic but are incredibly soft, don't shed, and look so sleek. They are also incredibly inexpensive (less than Sonia Kashuk!!)

I love real techniques too. I only have the core collection and one eye brush but I definitely plan to buy more both for personal use and to use in my kit eventually. They're very soft and I use them for many things, not just what they're meant for. They're very affordable too, around $17 for a set of 4 or 5. Elf's brushes aren't bad either, I have their blending brushes and am happy with them. But for face brushes I'd definitely choose real techniques first.

I don't like any of the elf face brushes because they werent soft and it irritated my face but love their eye brushes (angled & blending). For face, I use sigma. It was definitely worth the $$. Its an investment.
