Okay so my best friend was in your EXACT position, she started getting acne in middle school and went in a pill for it summer before ninth grade and her skin cleared up so well, it even really helped the scars! but if you don't want to do that, I suggest you save up for a foundation from a brand that isn't drugstore. I like some drugstore makeup but when it comes to foundation they just can't compare to companies like Bobbi brown and Mac. Those are 2 foundation brands she would use that helped and made her skin look FLAWLESS. I recommend studio fix my Mac, it covers a lot and will get rid of those red spots. What you can do Is go to your mall with the makeup counters, your mom doesn't have to be there for you to buy it, ask them to match your skin and what they think would work best, they will experiment and get the best color and coverage for your skin and see what you think and if you like it then you can buy it! They are about 30-50 dollars but if you want something to help that bad, then it will be worth it!

I had the same problem! What your doing is stripping all the nutrients and oils that your skin needs. That's y your getting dry patches. Instead of using a lotion for a moisturizer use argan oil. I know it sounds crazy to put oil on your face but it tricks your pores into thinking they've made enough oil and won't produce anymore oil. The argan oil really helps and it has helped clear up my acne scars too! Hope this helps!

I also took bactrum which is an antibiotic that helps with acne when I was 15 but when I moved my mom never transferred my prescription! Lol but they helped too. My older brother took it for his acne when he was 15 he is 22 now and his face brakes out almost never... Hmm I really need to get back on those lol! But that might help to with the acne...

When you go to sephora as them for a sample of the argan oil. That's where I found out about it! I freaking love that place! Lol.

Ok my friend has the same problem. She has mild acne but thinks its really bad. She uses proactive to clear it up. Which it does. But it also dries your skin out sooooooooooooo much. She has the same problem with the flaky dry patches. She sayed she stopped using proactive but then has to go back on it. The package thing of proactive comes with this green tea ( I think) moisturizer. Idk if it's green tea but I know it comes with an intense moisturizer. She sayed that helps. But basicly I'd say get a really good moisturizer and see if that helps
