I've always thought septum peircings looked tacky and they'd make it hard to get a job for a while.

Thanks.(: I'm not worried about getting a job or anything. I'm more worried about how it'll look and the pain.

I don't even know what a septum is but no you shouldn't. I pierced my nose as a teenager and now I'm a flight attendant and therefore I can't have piercings everyday I have to put concealer over it to cover the scar and you can still see it. My friend had her lip peirced and the scar was so bad she had to go to a plastic surgeon to have scar revision done under local anesthetic. Peirce everything but your face it's permanent because the scar will stay.

With a septum piercing you wouldn't be able to see any scar. its on the inside of your nose.

I've had mine done for 5 years and love it! it wasn't too terribly painful. however, it is kind of a long piercing. it wasn't a quick in and out needle, more like 15-30 seconds. I never wear mine down anymore because if work.
