Depends on your skin type and problem areas and also if it will work well with your foundation.

Primer is what you put in before foundation to prepare and protect your skin.

No primer is normally clear and is used to get skin ready for foundation. Concealer is normally a more heavy coverage foundation that you only use to cover blemishes and dark circles.

Primer helps to keep your makeup on longer and to fill in pores while giving you protection.

The only primer I've tried is revlon photo ready. It feels greasy on my skin and I don't feel like it helps my makeup stay on any longer. :(

I have a lot of primers lol my favorite is too faced primed and pore less. they have original, then some color correcting one I think, and an oil free one if your skim gets oily! they all work great! its like $40 at sephora but the bottle lasts for quite a while

It depends what you need it for. Victoria secret has great color correcting primers, and the Porefeshional does exactly that. For rough skin the Revlon Photoready primer is amazing at creating a smooth canvas

I've heard tons of good reviews about the new one from Benefit, the 15 hour primer thingy. check out some reviews about it. :)
