Hi Sara,
I get horrible hormonal cystic breakouts once a month. I discovered this wonderful acne product called OXY. I got 2 huge breakouts last week and I started using the Advanced OXY facial wash with Benzoyl peroxide, (the label is red) the salicylic acid facial pads, (the label is blue) and an the spot treatment. Within 2 days, both my horrible breakouts shrunk down and were easily covered with makeup and concealer. My overall skin tone and condition improved significantly! This stuff is amazing! If its anything like my hormonal cystic acne it isn't going away overnight even with the best products. You can use treatments to reduce the size but hormonal cystic acne really needs a prescription both orally and topically to fight it from the inside out. The dermatologist will help find the right products for you to use, cystic acne is the worst! :( mine seriously would last for months it seemed like and hurt so bad.
