Thin it! Because my hair is thick too and I thinned it out and it's still thick just more tamed.

Get lots of layers, that'll make your hair thinner but not flatter. :)

I went intentions on getting my hair thinned & my stylist suggested a lot of layers. & now I hate it , it's just as thick it took a little weight off though. (I have REALLY thick hair) so, if your hairs extremely thick I'd suggest going for thinning it. But if it's semi-thick go for layers. Hope this helps.

Getting your hair thinned is fine, just make sure your stylist thins it from the mid-shaft of the hair strand and down. Hair should never be thinned at the roots unless you're wanting tons of volume..and in moderation only. Otherwise when that hair starts growing back in, it'll grow outwards instead of down and your hair will be a terrible mess! Just wanted to throw that out there for anyone that has their hair thinned. :)

And for the record, thick hair isn't for everyone. I've had quite a few clients come to me to have their hair thinned, layered and even cut into a bob or pixie cut because the hair is so thick and heavy that it gives them headaches.

Thank you so much! I'll make sure they don't thin it from the roots :)
