I'm going to color my hair tomorrow at home. I'm having my sister do it. I'm going to get red hair with black under layers. Anyone have tips, recommendations, or anything on how to do it and what to use?

Use a brush! Put color on the brush and brush it in! It worked for me ;) And if you want a vibrant color bleach your hair first.

If you want a vibrant colour without bleaching, use Loreal Hicolour Hilights twice. (: & I suggest buying a little bottle & applying it with that rather than the brush. it was much easier!

Make sure you use the right tools^.^ for a more vibrant color leave the dye in for 10 minutes longer than the instructions:) Sorry to say but loreal hicolor highlights just don't do good>.< if you do use it just be ready for an orange hair color once you don't want the red anymore:0 trust me I tried and it took 3 bleachings just to take the orange tint out>.< anyways good luckk.

Doing it in sections makes it easier. I think the brush method is easier. Make sure to cover everything and wear gloves and a old shirt.
