Okay so I have a base tan. My main goal is to get a little bit darker. I have been tanning outside and I don't see the results I really want to see. I decided to use the loreal sublime sun spray and let's just say that didn't go very well. Can anyone give me a tip for tanning outside? Or even any household items that I can apply to help? Thanks! Xoxo.

I'd say spend a day at the pool with SPF 30 on because you will tan but you need to be outside for a long time. And if your already doing this try tanning oil. Hawaiian tropics is suppose to be good :)

Try using a deep tanning lotion with bronzing in it. I just use an Ocean Potion Xtreme Intensifier that you can get at drugstores.

I work at a tanning salon, and before I got hired I had to watch videos and write tests on the sun, and tanning! So I think I can help a bit ;)
It's good that you have a base tan, but you need to understand that tanning isn't a fast process, any thing that tans you quick isn't deep therefore will fade fast (ex. A high intensity tanning bed)
No one in their right mind would recommend this, but a little tip is to go tanning while the suns at its strongest, that's at 12-3. After or before that the rays are practically missing you.
Only tan once a day, and limit yourself to no more than 10-25 minutes. It takes 24 hours for your body to process what you've done to it and tanning before that will add those minutes you tanned to the last time you tanned, essentially and usually resulting in burning.
Next, use a lotion. If you can't afford a great high end lotion go for a tanning lotion from the drugstore, your skin naturally deflects 70% of the suns rays and therefore will waste 70% of your time!
Avoid SPF, it is absolutely horrible for you one, and two it won't help you tan! Isn't that the whole point? Best of luck, feel free to ask questions xx
