I had fake acrylic nails on for about 2 months, and I have been waiting for them to fall off on their own, but it's been so long they were still very stuck! So I decided to just try my best to take them off, it was very painful and hard but I managed to take them all off. But now my nails are so damaged! I ripped a lot of my real nails off, and on one of my pinkys I have a little skin showing. What can I do to help my nails get back in good shape?? Any products or remedies that may help my nails??

Try olive oil daily when washing your hands...

Cuticle oil! Seriously works wonders and lays a good foundation for nail grow and the skin surrounds your nails. I personally recommend Essie nail care products (strengthen solution & nail growth solution) While using these products don't paint your nails until you feel comfortable with the outcome. Next time you get false nails, try not to rip them off - soak them in nail polish remover until the stuff is dissolved & then pull them off. Trust me, I went through the same thing when I got my nails done for prom & I regret it so much.

@Tyra S. I definitely regret getting them too! I won't be getting them again lol ill just stick to my natural nails. But hey when you went through it did your nails ever fully recover? Are they back to normal now?

My are back to normal.. I got them off about.. 3 weeks ago? mine only took like a week or two. but don't polish them with anything. Your nails need time to breathe and heal.

Yes! My nails are beyond long now. No longer brittle & short. I do wait a wait between changing my nail polish & follow up with the Essie products! My prom was May 31st & I took my mails off mid June & they looked healthy again by the end of June! Good luck.
