Here are some D.I.Y ideas that I've been doing lately for my skin and they have helped alot so I thought that I'd share them with you.
- Mix in 1/3 ratios (will be different depending on the size bottle that you use so just try to get it as equal to 1/3 as you can), Witch hazel, water and apple cider vinger into a bottle for a toner. You can adjust the amount of witch hazel and apple cider vinger as needed for your skin but the 1/3 ratio seems to work the best for me. It helps restore the natural ph balance in your skin, disinfect and treat any blemishes that you may have, and is natural which is better for your skin, just apply it onto a cotton ball and apply to your face. Also helps control oil. Can be a bit drying so just make sure to moisturize each day and night. Is gentle enough to be used as a daily toner.
- Mix about a table spoon of natural sea salt into a bottle of warm water and shake it until its all dissolved. apply it to your face at night to help with acne breakouts, It is drying because it dries out the pimples and disinfects them so just make sure to moisturize. It will help to keep your pores clean and shrink them so they don't appear to be large and open.
- Applying real lemon juice on dark/acne spots will help to fade them. Can be left on for a few hours or over night, just make sure to wash it off before you go in the sun as you should never go outside with an acid on your face.
- Mix organic/raw honey with a table spoon of evoo (extra virgin olive oil) and apply to your face as a moisturizing mask, let it sit on your face for about 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water then splash cold water on your face to close your pores. it will not make your skin oily and will give it a nice healthy glow.
- Mix organic/raw honey with about a table spoon of natural sea salt or sugar is a great exploitent. it will scrub away any dead skin or dry skin that is on your face/lips and leave your skin feeling soft and smooth and have a healthy glow to it. Is gentle on your skin and can be done once to twice a week.
- A great makeup remover is evoo, you can use it alone on a cotton ball or mix it with a little water to delute it some. It takes off your makeup easily without scrubbing especially around your eye area, Works great on waterproof makeup as well.
may have more to come if anyone is interested, leave any ideas that you have below or request a D.I.Y idea on something from me that isn't mentioned (more scrubs, mask, pore strips, spot cleaner, etc). I'll also answer any questions that you may have.

The truth is most of us have those things in our kitchens already and if not they are easily accessible at the local grocery store and if they don't work for that person then its not a lose becuase you can just use it to cook with so its a win win for everyone, let me know how it goes and what works for you :)

Very true, thats why it works so good, all the stuff is natural and can be deluted or changes can be made to the ratio that is perfect for your skin, the only bad side effect is dry skin but if you use the scrub and moisturize then you wont have any problems at all :)

I am curious about the toner, because I know apple cider vinegar has a very strong scent, so will it stay with you if you use it before doing your makeup in the morning? I had just bought witch hazel and was going to look up toner recipes with it but I'm kind of hesitant about smelling like the vinegar all day =]

It does have a strong scent by itself (which is too strong for your skin) when you deluite it with 1/3 water and 1/3 witch hazel with the 1/3 apple cider vinegar it tones down the scent alot and you dont smell like it at all, you could even but less vinger and more water or witch hazel if you perfer or add some of those rose water drops or lavender sent drops that they have to give it a different smell. But i've never had any issues with the smell on my face, after it is dry and absorbed into your skin the smell seems to go away.
