I have the same problem. And I use the proactive body wash. But some people can't afford it. Its really pricey. So my friend uses clean and clear body wash.

I suffered that problem during my teenage years and off and in since. The only thing that works for me is called nurtures cure body acne treatment spray. It's honestly a miracle worker!! I always keep it handy especially during the summer when I tend to break out the most. It's inexpensive and can be found in your local drug store.

You really should see a doctor (Dermatologist) for your back acne, only a doctor can recommend treatment, IMO.

I had the same problem when I was younger and a dermatologist recommended that I cleanse with Ivory soap in the shower (no dyes or perfumes to irritate skin) and then apply Vitamin E Oil (can be found at a drug store or Target in the vitamin/supplement aisle). I know that sound counter-intuitive but Vitamin E is a miracle cure for skin issues. It will also help prevent acne scarring. Another route would be to track down Retin-A, but you have to order from Canada or get a prescription for it from a doctor.

Proactive is Benzoyle Peroxide based and bleaches clothes so not living that for use on body. Both Murad and Dermaligica make a body spray with salicylic acid as the active ingredient. Still effective, no bleaching.
