If you're expecting smooching (or a kiss good enough for a second date) focus on the eyes, make sure you have a bit of blush pink/rosy on your cheeks, and make sure you have nothing on your lips. maybe chapstick (flavored ones drive guys nuts). I don't think your date wants to go home with a smeared lip all over his face
