I've read around that lemon is good for getting rid of scars and lightening the skin, so I added some to a honey and cinnamon face mask I commonly use, and it stung! I had to wash it off immediately. Is there any other ingredient I can use to achieve the same thing? Thank you!

You could try hydrogen peroxide? That is supposed to lighten skin. Since its a chemical, use it sparingly. I've tried it on my face before and nothing bad happened.

I only used a small slice of lemon, was that too much for 1tsp cinnamon and 3tsp honey?
