Tooth paste actually leaves marks if you leave it for too long. do not leave it overnight.

Benzoyl peroxide!! apply on your face morning and night before your moisturizer. leave it on there for 10 to 15 mins to let the acne medication sink in your pores. read the skin regimen on acne.org it's really helpful. start off with 2.5 % because it'll dry out your face. make sure to use a rich moisturizer afterwards. This really works for me as far as clearing and preventing breakouts.
tea tree oil is a great natural alternative
whatever method you use you should apply a small amount on your neck to make sure you arent allergic or sensitive to the product
