youll need to get one with an spf obviously if your fair skinned so you dont get sunburnt. but you should try looking for one with an instant bronzer, so that you will automatically see results :) i always switch up my oil, but right now im using an australian gold one thats working very well. hawaiian tropic and banana boat are also good brands :)

Hawaiian Tropic is my favorite brand of tanning essentials, it's like a gift from God hahaha.
Because you're so fair skinned, you need to start out with a high SPF and build color that way. For example, you could sit out in the sun for a half hour one day with a 25 SPF on, if you didn't get sunburnt, the next day you could increase your tanning time with the same SPF on, and then gradually keep increasing the time and lower the SPF, it's the safest way! You should never put oil on your skin the first few times out in the sun, it's a death wish.

Try a sunless tanner :) you don't have to sit in the sun so you don't need to worry about sun burn and self tanners will give you the same results
I use Fake Bake - Flawless its really nice and I think around $12 and the reults are fast :D

If you're looking for a fake tanner, I highly suggest the Nivea Sun-kissed Beautiful Legs lotion. I'm really fair too and I use this all over my body and it gives a great color! :)
But for oils and stuff, I suggest Hawaiian Tropic too. They have a deep color tanning oil that works AWESOME
