Just got bio oil and I'm not too sure about it but I think I'll give it a shot to something positive to my face... does anyone know how to use it?

Wash your face, pat dry and apply a few drops evenly on your face :)

Be very very light with it. You seriously only need a drop or maybe 2 for your face. A bottle lasted me my whole pregnancy and I'm happy to say I have no stretch marks and it kinda fades the old ones. It's really oily so just be careful to not put to much cause it might cause breakouts

Be very careful with use as it contains lavender oil which is an irritant for many skin types. And it contains mineral oil (paraffinum liquidum) which in my opinion is just a useless oil with no benefits other than possibly clog your pores. It does a great job on the body but as far as the face goes I would tread very carefully with this one.

I agree with Shelley bio oil is not really ment for your face its for your body if you wanna use a non-comedogenic natural oil on your skin that offers anti-aging benifits try argan oil or maracuja oil they are both full of omega fatty acids an very hydrating

Thanks shelly and traci. do other oils help with acne scars?

You really need a serum if you wanna lighten acne scars the molecule has to be small enough to penetrate the skin a c serum or retinol along with exfoliation 2 times a week will help with hyperpigmentation.

As Traci suggested a Retinol is a great place to start. I started using one that I picked up from ULTA as I'm not ready to go prescription just yet. Its from the Alpha Hydrox line...Retinol RESQ.15% Pure Active Retinol. I use it every other night and though I haven't see a huge difference the changes I have seen are slight. My skin feels softer and my large pores are less pronounced. I think I'm going into my third week of using. And I exfoliate (twice a week) using powder based enzyme peel (I just have to add water to it) as I'm trying to get away from bead cream based exfoliation. I have no more scarring due to me using glycolic serums over a two year time period so now its all about maintaining and looking out for the hormonal changes that are beginning to set in as I get older (40 is next year for me).
