Help with lipstick!

I've never owed a high end lipstick but I want to try one, do you find there's a huge quality difference between high end and drugstore lipsticks?

I'm not sure which brand to try, I've been looking into Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick, Mac, Tarte, Stila. Do you have any suggestions?
