I have tried numerous times to do flat iron curls but it never works for me. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong or if its just my hair? Help please?

I would just buy a curling iron, because it's soooo much easier than trying to do it with a flat iron.

First you need a thin flat iron for it to work well like 1 inch, then start from the roots and as you pull down spin the flat iron, and never stop, or ull make a crimp, hope this helped :)

Miranda, I have a wand. I just like the look of flat iron curls. And thank you Julia:)

I hold mine vertically upside down and just rotate as I'm moving my hair down it.

You should be sure yours has a rounded edge, which eases things. You also need a great heat protectant and styling spray. I like Chi and Rusk Thermal Shine. Lastly, you may want to learn the way I did..via a YouTube tutorial. I learned from one that Kandee Johnson made. I'm sure a search would pull it up. Be sure to let your curls cool before styling them. While I sometimes still roll my hair, I've become quite skilled (with patience and practice) at making long lasting curls with my Baby Bliss pro flat iron. Gator clips used to divide the hair into sections also eased the process for me. They are available at Sally. Hope that helps.
