I need help finding a new foundation. I use Mac prolong wear nc42 I love it except I look alittle cakey at times no matter how much or little I use. Should I try a different kind of Mac or a whole different brand all together. I have oily skin. I was wondering in findation.com was accurate or not. I was thinking of trying loncome or possibly nars.

No I have not tried that I used cover girl clean press power 240 but I looked too powdery.

If your trying to avoid the cakey look I would go for loreal true match. If your really keen to get a highend foundation I would reccomend the nars sheer matte or the Bobbi brown long lasting foundation.

I love the loreal true match foundation I'm w5. The girl in ulta talked me into it. I was getting ready to buy the hello flawless oxygen by benefit and she was like, girl loreal is the same thing and way cheaper so I gave it a shot and don't think I ever wanna go back! I have the foundation and pressed powder. Hope that was helpful :-)

If you're normal to dry.
I like mac liquid mineralized foundation. it doesn't do that cakey thing. on drugstore level I like maybelline fitME..
btw, findation works. good luck!.

If you don't need a long wear foundation and want to stick with Mac Try the Studio Fix Fluid.

Thank you everyone I will look into these. I do want one that will last thought the day. I work an average of 10 hour days and do not really have time to touch up my makes up so something that will stay.

Tarte is good but get a good blending bush cuz its kinda thick n the big bush that you could buy with it can leave lines.

I'm an NC42 too and with oily skin, and a favourite of mine is Guerlain Extreme Parure in Beige Fonce 05. It's light, full coverage and great for oily skin. I set it with Estee Lauder double wear powder in spiced sand.
