So I just read a post about waxing and it raised a question of my own... I've been thinking about getting waxed in my private area but I've been soooo chicken... Haven't tried it yet because I keep hearing about all kinds of painful stories! My pain tolerance is next to zero I'm such a wuss... I can't even get through waxing my legs! I've been shaving down there but it irritates my skin a lot so I wanted to get it waxed to kinda smooth out the area without having to "groom" it every other day... Any suggestions? Should I go through with it? Any tips on how to make it less painful? Xx

I think you should try a bikini wax first. It's a smaller area and will give you an idea if you can handle a full brazilian. My pain tolerance is low as well but keep in mind that the pubic area is much more sensitive than the legs. So, that is something to think about, considering you can't get through leg waxes.

So..if you have been shaving it will definitely be more painful than usual..but! You can take painkillers before you go and use an anesthetic creme! Also exfoliate to keep it smooth but not right after you wax!A day later would be fine xx Hope I helped:)

When should I take the painkillers? Like 20 min before? Would Tylenol extra strength be ok?

Take an Advil or ibuprofen 30 minutes to an hour before you get waxed. Also, wear loose fitted pants or sweat pants. The best time to get a wax is usually a week after your menstral cycle. A week before or during your menstral cycle is when it's most sensitive down there. I say after your third wax, the pain is sooo much more tolerable :) good luck.

I also want to try waxing down there, it's a lot better than shaving since you have a bigger chance of cutting yourself shaving and it takes a while for it to grow back in. I think you should go for it, take painkillers before and if you don't like it then you won't have to do it again lol.

Its really not that bad its more the mental anxiety for your first time I wax people all day everyday :) the majority of my clients are for brazilians :) I've done so many first timers nearly all of them say after oh it wasnt as bad as I thought :)
it definitely hurts more the first time but it honestly does get better! just keep it regular every 4 weeks give or take depending on your hair growth if you leave it to long it starts to hurt again if you shave between waxes your starting again :)
talk to your friends find a good place to go this is pretty important lol so many of my clients tell me how much less painful there experience is with me :D and it takes me 10 to 15 minutes instead of 30 to 45 mins it takes some places :)
you can definitely take asprin or something 20 mins before hand :) let the girl know its your first time :) I always just keep the conversation going keeps your mind off it ;)

Def take a painkiller first! Lol. I did it for the first time for my wedding like 6 weeks ago. It was painful, but soooo worth it! No hair at all for 2.5 weeks! Lol.

I keep reading all the painful stories & I still want to do it even though it will hurt like hell. But shaving like every other day is a hassle for me.

It is so worth it ladies, for all those who have yet to try it. Shaving creates bumps, and hair grows back quickly. Waxing will keep the hair gone for about 2-3 weeks and the area will look smooth and cleaner.
