My friends and I are looking to chalk our hair for welcome week as a fun thing to do as a group. What colors/ brands work best? Any tips?

I use oil pastels, not actual chalk. Also wet your hair a tiny by before chalking, then let dry. It can be messy.

When I chalked my hair (I've only done it once) it was HORRIBLE and I regret it. Yes I looked amazing while it was chalked but getting it out was not worth it! My hair was so dry and tangled, like I had neglected it for weeks. It took forever and a lot of breakage to fix my hair. This is the chalk I used, maybe it was just that one, or maybe even just my hair. Just wanted to give you a fair warning.

Sorry I couldn't find the one I used but I think it was gypsy chalk. I bought it on amazon

I used pastels also, and I uses hot pink, deep purple and royal blue. I loved it but it stained my hair because I'm blonde! It stayed in for like 3 months!
