Oh and as far as lacking originality lmao....I have to laugh. She has created a whole product line full of MAC Dupes on purpose! She takes a Mac color tries to duplicate and then stamps her brand on it! When will we ever see a Makeup Geek original?? I'll wait...

I prefer MUG simply because you can put MAC and MUG side by side, and you cannot tell the difference pigment wise, AND they are half the price without needing to jump through the PRO membership hoops. Marlena is essentially a beauty blogger who discovered some truths about makeup manufacturing and wholesalers. She is offering what she sees as an alternative. This mornings video seemed a little rushed and she seemed a bit bothered in general.

Like I stated originally I think its a good quality. I just wish she would put less focus on MAC dupes and create something a staple amidst her own brand.

I don't see any bashing in that video whatsoever. The fact that she uses MAC as a standard of comparison obviously demonstrates their quality. Most of the MUG line isn't dupes of MAC products, they are individually formulated colors. She was comparing them to MAC to show that her products are comparable and much more reasonably priced. This is a common practice in advertising, so she is not even close to unprofessional.
@Mookey, you missed my point. I wasn't saying that was my opinion of MAC, I was saying that is an example of an actual diss. I can afford MAC; I don't purchase that brand because they are better options for a fraction if the price. I could give a flying fig if someone else wants to waste their money because of deluded brand loyalty.
The thing that frustrates me is when people jump all over someone for the same damn thing that people do all the time on this forum. Hypocritical much? I would rather support a company like MUG that cares about what it's customers want, the quality of their product and the value for price over a company like MAC that pushes out several collections a year of increasingly dubious quality at ridiculously marked-up prices.
That's my two-cents, take it or leave it.

Truly I'm a die hard for makeup geek, its a lot cheaper and the eyeshadow goes into ANY magnetic palette, I tried to put my mac eyeshadows in there and it wouldnt stick. But MAC is good, I just think makeup geek has bigger pans and it lasts a lil longer.
