I'm 13 and started wearing makeup last year. This summer I want to play around and maybe change it up for school next year(I'm going into 8th grade). I currently wear eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, and lipgloss/lipstick. I just wanted to know some tips to make my makeup better. (Sorry for the snapchat filter, if you need a better picture, please ask!) Thanks in advance ladies:)

Your current routine sounds good. if allowed, maybe experiment with colored eyeliner and try different colored lip glosses/lipsticks.

Thanks Kim! I want to experiment with some darker and bolder shades.

I just finished eighth grade this year, I wore a very natural look everyday. I wore
- dr jart bb cream
- hello flawless powder
- occasionally a subtle contour using the Kat Von D shade + light palette
and mascara

if you'd like to use lip color I recommend a light pink or tinted Chapstick, nothing too conspicuous. hope this helped!!

When I was in 8th grade I had a lot of fun trying out different ways to wear my eyeliner each day. Liquid eyeliner can really be fun for your creativity and show off your personality! also the idea of mixing in different lipstick colors is a great idea!

I wore a full face of makeup back in the day, but we didn't do contouring, brows, etc. Bright eyeshadow was in. Hey it was the eighties, don't judge. Lol!

That said if pressed, my daughter will wear a champagne shimmer shadow, a light coat of mascara and mayyyyybe a tinted lip balm. She just graduated 8th grade. Her classmates run the gamut, so follow the school's guidelines and do what you enjoy. I found I preferred it when the girls had a lighter hand, but that's my preference.

Natural is probably best, but like Kim M. said, you could try some colored lip gloss and/or lipsticks.

Thanks ladies! Adding on to this, any favorite brands that aren't too expensive? I live in MN btw:)

Maybe a little bronzer and if you really want to make your eyes pop and your allowed maybe look up some smokey eye tutorials that aren't super dramatic but not super suddel.
