OK so sephora's beauty insider birthday gift last month was a mini they're real mascara. It claims to be the worlds #1 mascara. I was very excited to try it since I've heard good reviews on it. The first time I used it it felt terrible on it got hard and made my eye lashes hurt. I thought it was because I layered on top of my Maybelline falsies. That was a month ago. I decided to try it again this time only putting two coats. Still again the same problem. I wanted to know has anyone else have this problem.

I got the same birthday gift from sephora a few days ago as well! I think the trick with the They're Real mascara is to apply only a very light coat. The mascara itself is formulated to be very thick and dramatic so you should be able to get your desired results if you apply it lightly. If this does not work it may just not be a good mascara for your lashes!

It feels a little think for my preference as well and it was really hard to remove. I prefer elfs 3 in 1 mascara. its better for building and its only $2.99.

I too found it too be too heavy too quickly. Clumped too. It wasn't buildable bec it got to dry and really hard too quick for me. I returned it n tried too faced Better than Sex. It's amazing!!

I layer they're real with maybelline's falsies, and they look fine imo! I'd suggest wearing it on its own, which looks great as well, but personally I can't do that because I need a waterproof formula underneath to prevent smudging throughout the day. :(

Yes it gets hard if you layer it..try loreal voluminous from any drugstore..$8 or less and you can layer the crap out of it..its super buildable.

I had problems with it also, made some of my lashes fall out, won't ever try it again.
