I take a shower, comb my hair in the shower to reduce frizz and rinse with cool water to also reduce frizz. I put frizz product on my hair before I blow dry, I comb my hair out to reduce split ends, then blow dry. I wait a while to let my hair settle and then I straighten using a comb. I go to a football game from 7-10 and I get a little sweaty and burned up because its humid and I was with my school in the "Student Section". My hair looked perfect when I got there, I even spritzed some hairspray to keep flyaways down and keep the body. So after a while my hair was thickening and my straightened bangs became curled, even my baby hairs. How can I keep this from happening when I am out with friends or at another football game?

Try to use anti-humidity products. I have the same problem with my hair. Also, do not touch or move your hair...AT ALL. The humidity has developed a layer on your hair and even on your hands and once you run your fingers through, the moisture dampens all through your hair rather than just a layer. I will typically do my hair the day or night before an event so that it has time to settle. If I do my hair right before an event it is very prone to going back to the way it was, especially if I am outdoors. If you still want body the next day, then you can fluff your hair with your blow dryer and add anti-humidity hair spray to add volume.

What smoothing serum do you use? Also if you try a heat protector that has a hold such as the Hot off the press from paul mitchell Spray it in to your damp hair then blow dry and flat iron. I have really really curly thick thick hair and no one ever believes me because i get it super straight and it never frizzes or curls! This exactly what i use and do. I shampoo my hair with Bed head Anti dotes level 2 and rinse with warm water then I use the same conditioner and leave in for about 3-5 min then rinse with cold water. I towel dry my hair to remove as much moisture as possible for less blow dry time, the i apply paul mitchell skinny serum since my hair is so thick i do apply about 4-6 drops to my ends because my hair just sucks it up! I then apply my hot off the press all over my damp hair .I have an ionic blow dryer with 2500 watts and this does make a difference on how smooth i get my hair and also the speed. I use a paddle brush to get my hair super smooth and then I use the babyliss flat iron at about 345 and go section my section. I can do this all in about 40-45 min it really doesnt take to long.

Don't add too much heat to your hair! It's not good for it!

if you dry your hair with paper towels rather than putting your hair in a towel after you shower that helps a lot. it might sound kind of weird, but it definitely helps my har a lot

I had the same issue and started using Fluff-ease, a pre-wash treatment from Lush cosmetics. I've tested it on days where humidity would be at 80-100% and it worked like a charm. Plus, it smells amazing. Anytime I blow-dry it straight, I end it by giving my hair a blast of cold air-- it keeps it shiny and frizz-free.
