Base coats prevent stains from nail polish, so I'd invest in one of those. Personally, I like OPI's base coat. As for treatments, I just think you should constantly keep a base coat/nail strengthener on your nails. Sally Hansen is great for treatments.

Gel will definitely prevent it from chipping off. But heard it may cause cancer due to the you've light that is used to dry it fast. If your thinking of a base coat, do more research about it. Ill definitely recommand skin food base coat and top coat. I works great on me.

I've heard scrubbing them with baking soda will help take the stains off & a base coat does help prevent that.

Rafiqha the UV light will not cause cancer. Most bulbs are 9 watts and you are only in for 2 min or less at a time, that is not enough exposure to cause any damage.
