Make sure to outline your cheek bones too! I'm doing this for Halloween aswell! Also line your face in a thin black line and make the red dots even in size and distribution.

I think that there needs to be more outlining (thicker lines too) around the whole face, expression lines, cheek contours, lip, etc.and more exaggeration. This look requires you to go all out or it just doesn't work. Use face paint for a better opaque effect. I also think the eyes should have a vibrant shadow on it. Also dip the hard end of a makeup brush into fave paint for more uniform and smaller dots. Follow this tutorial exactly and you will be fine: http://youtu.be/yNQuZ4c34P8.

I would also try to make your dots more consistent that would make it a more true comic look.

Outline in even dots and add more definition with the black.

The red dots are way too big. I think the white would be better. Any mistakes on the red dots and it'll just look like giant mosquito bites. The white gets the point across without overpowering the rest of the lines.
