I know how you feel (: from the other side I promise there's hope. First thing, don't stress of freak out, it happens to a lot of people and the stress will only make it worse. Second, your skincare routine is important and will probably change depending on how active you are, what the season is etc.. But some good basics are: over medicating/cleansing your face is just as bad for acne as not enough, everyone needs moisturizer, and stay on top of it, don't skip a night or morning or you could set yourself back a week. This is what worked for me, several things I have seen work for everyone, several will be trial and error. Cleanse your skin twice a day, in the morning with a more gentle cleanser (like clean and clear, or Wei rose extract foaming cleanser) then toner (astringent), then a light dab of moisturizer. Now you probably think I'm crazy about the moisturizer but it's true! Stay away from creams and lotions, but a light layer of a gel moisturizer is crucial (it helps your face from over producing sebum, which clogs your pores) honestly I always had the best luck with straight up Aloe Vera gel. If in the middle of the day your skin feels horrid, use oil blotting papers and a stridex sensitive with aloe pad. At night use a stronger cleanser like proactiv, or a scrub like st Ives apricot, then tone, and moisturize again.

Lastly, go easy on your face an start slow. Extremes freak it out, what you want is to balance oil production.

Good luck! (:

**Also, if you have things like gym class or play a sport, clean your skin IMMEDIATELY. Even 30 minutes can break you out. I found the easier thing was one of those stridex pads, but if you have time to actually wash it that's better.

I want to second Katelynn on the moisturizer. A lot of people with oily skin and/or acne think they don't need to moisturize and thats just not true!!! It's just what she said. If you don't moisturize, you oil glands will go into overdrive and produce more oil, making you break out worse. FYI, neutrogena makes a daytime anti blemish moisturizer with SPF 15. It's quite good.
