Oh you can also drink green tea and put a steaming towel over your face. Afterwards you can use the little tea bag thing and rip a hole and rub the herbs your face.

I agree with Dasiy about the Advil thing! Get some Advil liquid gels and break one open and put it on the zit. The next day it will be gone or way smaller. I do it all the time and it really works!

I wouldn't risk popping it, because you're irritating the pore and pushing the bacteria deeper into the skin, doing this a lot can cause undeveloped acne, or just worsen the severity of your acne. There are a few quick fixes for it though, I'm not going to go through a whole skin care regimen with you, as it seems it's only one pimple we should focus on spot treating it. First, wrap an ice cube in a paper towel and apply it on your pimple. This will bring the swelling down and calm the redness, so it's not as noticeable. Now to get rid of it, there are a few methods I like. Non whitening toothpaste (not gel) is good, but it does irritate the skin and doesn't always work for every one, this wouldn't be my first option. You can also try uncoated ibuprofen or Advil pills, fill a little cap with water (about a pop bottle cap full) and put three pills in there until they dissolve to make a paste, the apply the paste into your pimple. My absolute favourite method for spot treating pimples really fast is liquid Tylenol, bite a hole at the top or stick a safety pin through it and use the gel on your pimple. I personally do it, leave it for a few hours then re apply, I find it's more effective.

So the deal with popping a pimple is, it MIGHT make it look better, (it might just make it super red and/or scab), but it might scar if it's bad enough. What you need to do if you do decide to pop it, is yes, take a shower first, then gently squeeze out all the white pus until it starts bleeding (the blood will clean it out) and then VERY GENTLY clean it. They sell wipes that you might want to use. Try and watch it and keep the scab to a minimum, but NEVER pick at the scab. It will scar. Good luck!
