I wanted to dye my hair jet black, after reading a bit about 'Developer' which at the moment I am unknownst to it since I don't dye my hair often, I was wondering if I should use a hair developer?
My hair is naturally black, but the sun makes it lighten and rather quickly ( Top half of my head is much lighter than the bottom half. )
My hair is kind of a soft black/brown, but not rich in color.

Get any hair coloring box and dye it. it includes the developer inside. and about the lighter situation on your roots just make sure you start of there so the color can grab on to your roots. also what you can do is after you finish put your hair in plastic foil not aluminium or a plastic bag and with a blowdryer not on high but on heat pass it on your roots with the plastic bag this makes the color process faster.

I strongly recommend not using box dye because the developer in most box dyes is a level forty and if you're only going darling about one or two shades you should buy a level ten or twenty developer. You can buy it at Sally's pretty cheap along with the hair color that you put in the developer
