Wash your hair with cold water and use a shampoo for hair colored red.

Truth. Red color molecules are the biggest molecules, and therefore leave your hair more quickly. Use shampoo and conditioner that are sulfate and sodium chloride free (I like the L'oreal EverStrong), because that will help keep your hair healthy and holding the color. Also try not to leave your hair under the water in your shower if you're not washing it, just water alone can cause hair dye to wash out and fade more quickly.

Only wash your hair once or twice a week, use cold water, color safe shampoo and the roux refresh mask in fire red from sallys is amazing at enriching red hair one its faded a little!

Would hair masks help or make worse??

Hair masks help the texture but may make the color wash out more quickly. Its probably fine to do them every once in a while, but not often.

I am worried about how to make the texture better after but not wash it out.

Try a strong conditioner. Like L'oreal EverCreme, its pretty good for moisturizing your hair but you don't have to leave it in any longer. Do you have to bleach your hair before you dye it? The other thing to try if you want a deep conditioner, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is sulfate and sodium chloride free as well, so that would probably be good to use for your hair.

Right after shampooing put in conditioner I don't know if it helps but it stops mine from running.

Cold water and only wash it 2 times a week, 3 tops. use color protecting shampoo and conditioner. I use the color me happy by herbal essence. wash it out and ring it out and don't get it wet again for the whole shower.

Cold water. I had red hair for like 6 months don't use loreal shampoo and conditioner. If you have a Sally beauty supply near you, pick up the riveting reds shampoo and conditioner and WASH YOUR HAIR AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE.
