My curling iron broke and I plan on replacing it today, but I don't know where to start, wand or iron? I prefer loose voluminous curls.
Thank you!

I love my curling wand but if you want a straight look you need a flat iron or curling iron unless you only wear it curly

I vote either way I can get the same results from a curling iron as I do a wand by wrapping the hair around the curling iron like you do the wand so either way girl you can get those curls!!

A wand does the work best!! it's what it's made for, but curling iron can be more damaging, they've been out the longest & could be found less expensive. but you could imitate the work of a wand with a little iron experience lol.

I like curling wands better. Maybe because I still can't get the hang of a curling iron. I use a Remington Curling Wand. I'm looking into getting either a Cortex or a NuMe curling wand.

I personally prefer a curling iron to a curling wand by a long shot! it may just be because I'm so comfortable with my old irons and I haven't practiced much on the wand, but I also prefer the variety of looks you can achieve with a curling iron as opposed to a wand.

I think getting a curling iron is easiest. You can simply wrap the hair around it instead of using the clamp to get the same effect as a curling wand. if you have frizzy or thick hair, curling iron will smooth and sort of straighten while curling while giving you beautiful curls. While a wand will just put curls in and leave it frizzy. And I think a curling wand it more versatile, there's soo many ways to curl hair with it to get different results while a wand you can really only wrap it around and get the one same result.
