I'm there too with my hair. My tips would be to keep it extremely conditioned. Deep condition it at LEAT three times a week. That could even mean just keepin your daily conditioner in for a few hours an then washin it out. You'll also want this shampoo called "shimmer lights" at Sally's beauty supplies store, it takes out the yellow and brassy tones from your hair. It's about $11 for a good sized bottle but you don need much since I think you have short hair. You just soak your hair for about 20 minutes. Your hair will turn slightly purple but that will go away after like 2 shampoos. Hope I helped✌️

The link Gen posted rules! Thanks for sharing that, Gen =)

My hair could be a lot healthier, but I think it looks and feels quite healthy if I do say so myself! I keep my hair more of a violet/silver color, but my hair goes through all of the bleaching and toning processes that platinum hair does, so hopefully you'll find this helpful.
As far as initial bleaching and touch ups go, I only let a professional do my roots with 20 volume developer and professional quality bleach. I then apply toner myself the day my roots get bleached.
To keep my hair looking and feeling soft, I avoid any heat tools at all costs! If I absolutely have to heat style my hair, I only use the dryer on its cold setting and I use a heat protectant before hand. I sleep with organic unrefined extra virgin coconut oil in my hair at least once a week which makes my hair super soft. I will also use deep conditioning masks when I have the time, I personally love Hask's "Henna n Placenta" masks for my hair. I try not to wash my hair too often, but when I do I use sulfate free shampoos and a cleansing conditioner on the days I don't want to shampoo. I do like to use "It's a 10" leave in conditioner and/or argan oil in my wet hair after I wash it, it makes it super soft and easy to work with.
To maintain my color, I wash my hair with a violet shampoo and conditioner. I will also apply my violet based toner between trips to the salon to keep my hair from turning yellowy or brassy. I usually do it every other week or anytime it starts looking drab.

Redkens extreme line is amazing on bleached hair and makes it feel so silky, there is a shampoo, conditioner and leave in! and also matrix so silver is the BEST purple shampoo I've ever used and I've used a lot being a hairstylist! make sure you have a good de-tangler, I like avedas brilliant damage control which also protects from heat and you've and the environment.

I used to be blonde.. and to keep it short & real... the number one thing you need is moisture! bleached hair doesn't shine but it can still look healthy. if you want it to shine you can die it "clear" for a glossy top coat on your hair. try not to wash your hair everyday and instead do oil rinses to the tips of the hair.

I bleach mine myself touch ups and all,
Shimmer lights is okay, I have it. The one from my salon has a better one so once I finish I'll be getting that.

BUT I have a Moroccan oil hair mask I use once a week. I've been using suave keratin conditioner and it's amazing I leave it in for about 3 minutes. And I use Aussie thirsty shampoo (I think that's the name, it's for moisture)

I find that products for relaxed hair work really well, premised olive oil masks are great because they aren't as messy.

Also, was your hair like 2-3 times a week. Nowhere near everyday.

I must say, my hair does shine. And it's because after a year of trial and error it's finally healthy. On top of constantly bleaching it I just added purple and it's still beautiful and healthy :)

Oh and drink lots of water- these products can only help the outside but hair starts at the root, you need to be healthy inside too.

Use purple shampoo and a hydrating deep treatment like pro naturals argan oil hair mask once a week.
