Are scrubs the same as exfoliants?

I'm so confused. And if they are different what is the difference exactly?

A scrub is a means of exfoliating. There are chemical exfoliates like alpha hydroxy acids and glycolic acids and then there are manual exfoliates like face/body scrubs and cleansing brushes like the Clarisonic.

A scrub is a type of physical exfoliation. Chemical exfoliation are glycolic acid (aha) and salicylic acid (bha). You can learn more about exfoliation from dermtvdotcom on Youtube.
