My Tea Tree Oil Is Burning My Skin.

Sometimes when I put on tea tree oil in a few minutes it starts to sting really bad and makes my skin super red. any suggestions?

Tea tree oil is only suppose to be used in small amounts.

I agree with Ashley. Maybe it's just a allergic reaction. I suggest you should stop using that tea tree oil immediately or just ask a doctor.

For sensitive skin you can mix it with vitamin e oil or olive oil, if it's your face... vitamin e

You might wanna begin by diluting it, tea tree oil is very drying for the skin so it's good to dilute it. A lot of beauty supply stores will sell you tea tree oil specifically for the skin so it's already diluted.
However, what you report sounds more like an allergic reaction to tea tree oil. It shouldn't sting or feel like it's burning. I would not use it altogether.

You should mix it with water before applying it makes it gentler(:

I'm allergic, and for years I keep believing people when they said it was normal. Glad I figured it out, if you feel burning, breakout, get red or peel, don't risk it. :)

Okay thanks so much guys! I'm going to try either diluting it or mixing it with vitamin e oil.

Thats normal..my skin burns too but after a few minutes it should cool off
