Help with winter here my skin is super sensitive. I use the Venus Sensitive, but it's leaving me really bad razor burn as well as not a very close shave. I exfoliate before shaving and I've tried sensitive shave cream, conditioner and male shaving lotion... I get the closest results with hubby's shave lotion but I still end up with red bumpy skin that burns. By the time it clears up I need to shave all over again... Help!! What do you ladies use?

I use Venus as well, but shave using Extra Virgin Cold Pressed coconut oil. I have psoriasis and (for me) this avoids triggers like razor burn or any bumps. I usually soak in the tub a little first...then slather it on, shave, then shower..and then apply Apricot Oil to my legs after I lightly pat them dry. You can find both at Whole Foods or any Health Food store. I'd nix the exfoliation prior to shaving and save that for a day or two later. Hope that helps!

Have you tried shaving while taking a bath? It gives me a closer shave and no irritation.

Well I could suggest an awesome razor Schick hydro silk...it is a little pricey but it works amazing and has water activated moisturizer strips on the razor head itself.

Thanks Jessica :) Ill look at it next time I'm in town.
Melissa I only shave in the tub, not quite skilled enough for the shower. Lol
Thanks for the suggestion Rozzberry :)
