This may sound odd, but I play a brass instrument and after an 8 hour band practice and final concert I have found that my lips are severely dry. I've used several lip balms such as Vaseline and Burts Bees and nothing appears to have improved. Any suggestions? Thanks:)

Get your lips wet and use an old tooth brush to exfoliate then put some neosporin on your lips.

Try Nivea or Vitamin A&D ointment.

Use a sugar scrub (Brown/white sugar mixed with either olive or coconut oil [I prefer coconut]) and use that to exfoliate your lips, clean it off then apply a good lip balm that isn't made with a whole lot of chemicals-- usually I just use coconut oil again as my lip balm.

I always coat my lips with Vaseline before I go to bed. In the morning remove the dead skin off and apply Chapstick once and awhile during the day.

If you don't mind spending the money get the Mary Kay satin lips exfoliator but if you don't want to spend that much money(I'm not sure how much it is) you could get the elf lip exfoliator for $3 it's great :)

Put Vaseline on your lips and leave it on for ten minutes and then take a damp wash cloth and rub the dry skin off then apply some good chapstick.
