Can you not use dry shampoo in between washes or is that not working for you either? X.

I've heard using some baby powder on your scalp helps, BUT MAKE SURE YOU BLEND IT! x

If nothing works I'd say the days you don't wash your hair or when it is more greasy just put it up in a bun or a cute pony it won't look so greasy.

Oily hair can be frustrating. Goal is to normalize scalp and one way is to wash less frequently. BTW, clarifying shampoo may increase oils and since you have color treated hair the Dove and L'oreal products are pulling your color out. There are some great products out there. Nexxus Ex-Oil Shampoo, actually helps slow down oil production and does not dry out hair. Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree, Living Proof Full Shampoo. Condition only the ends, just rake it through them.
Fullers Earth is a product that you can get on ebay or amazon for $3.99, usually comes in a shaker. You cannot see it or feel it. It is used to absorb oils and get max fluff. Sprinkle this on right after you wash, dry your hair and this will help to extend time between washes. For Styling: Oscar Blandi Pronto Invisible Dry Shampoo Spray $25 is great! It soaks up excess oil and boosts strands at root. Once a week mix 1 tbsp. baking soda with shampoo when you wash hair this is equivalent to using a clarifying shampoo, it's great for product buildup as well. Hope this helps!

Shampoo and conditioner are the worst contradictions we do to our hair. They work for some people, but for other people, like you and I, they just don't. Shampoo is harsh to strip your hair of dirt and oil. Then conditioner replaces all the oils that shampoo just stripped away. While conditioner makes your hair feel soft and moisturized, your body wants its own oils, sebum. The best way to calm irritated or overstimulated glands is to stop shampooing. For the people who can go four days in between washings, you go girls. But I can't so I use a low/no poo, like Wen. There are others but Wen is what I use. Your hair has an adjustment period where you may need to shampoo or wear a bun but once it balances your hair will thank you! Also try putting blonde in your hair. Bleach will help with the natural oils at your roots. Also invest in a good dry shampoo. I have fine hair so I mostly use it for texture so my hair isn't so limp but they're really good for second day hair or if your hair just isn't cooperating that day.
