Is scrubbing the same as exfoliating?

So is scrubbing with my normal daily cleanser equivalent to exfoliating?? I use a little scrubbie pad & change it often.

Theoretically. The thing is that even rubbing your face with your fingers causes skin cells to fall. So, that being said, scrubbing your face with your normal cleanser will most likely do the same thing. Personally, I use a Clarisonic with any kind of cleanser, and it does the exact same thing as exfoliation.
