I've noticed my hair does get greasy fast. I don't wash my hair everyday. Every other day. I have fine, semi thick straight hair.
What are some tips for washing hair?
What shampoos do you recommend that'll help break down the excess grease?
Thank you!

You should try volumizing shampoos and conditioners. They don't have a lot of ingredients that weight down your hair. Also, a dry shampoo can help keep the oil away for a bit :)

I would definitely try washing in the morning if you don't already, I know when I wash at night my hair looks greasier in the morning. Also try blow drying hair as well. I would also try a clarifying shampoo if your hair is not color treated, I don't know what brand because I don't use it because I color my hair and it will strip, but I think pantenne has one. Or try a sulfate free shampoo like L'Oreal has. Also make sure you keep using a conditioner, a lot of people think that not using one helps with oily hair, but it does the opposite. I also agree with the dry shampoo, Baltise (not quite sure on the spelling) is good and watch a youtube tutorial on how to use one

Dry shampoo or baby powder also don't wash your hair everyday because it'll put your oil glands into overdrive!

I find if I put my hair up when I sleep it doesn't get as greasy!

If you want to go longer without washing your hair use dry shampoo! I like to put it in at night because it gets worked in while you sleep. Plus your hair won't have as much residue the next day.

I'm surprised people's said to condition. I would recommend that when you use shampoo rinse and repeat and use conditioner every other day. Washing you hair every day makes it clean BUT the natural oils (grease) in your hair make it healthy and make it grow faster. Lucky you.

Also, in between washes, you could just rinse your hair. That way you could go longer than one dayz.

I suggest a sulfate shampoo, which I never do because I use all organic but I don't have greasey hair.
I have tight spiral curled hair, all natural.! I wash my hair 2-3 times a week.
Haha. Good luck.!(:
