I used to wear my hair straight and I get way more compliments now being curly than I ever did straight. Straight was such an annoyance because some people just didn't believe my hair reached just past my butt so I got askef "Is that really all your hair or a weave" question. I love seeing other curlies though.

I fought my curls all through middle and high school. people didn't believe my hair was naturally curly. it wasn't until after I had my daughter and lost the time to flat iron it that I learned to embrace my curls. I get so much more compliments when I wear my hair naturally. I think curls are more unique.
