Does anyone know if it's possible to go to a Cosmetology school& mainly focus on one course?(such as makeup) I want to learn about hair, nails, etc. but I find that makeup interests me the most! I heard Paul mitchell is a great school, but after some research I noticed it mostly focuses on hair/: & If I decide to focus on makeup courses only, does anyone know any good makeup artist schools in California? Preferably around San Francisco?

No its not. There are specific makeup certificate schools. In cosmo you will learn about 1 day to 1 week of makeup in your whole time there. I'd recommend going to just a makeup school.
Cinema in LA is awesome!

Some schools allow you to focus just on an esthetician program. I will be going to Aveda in the fall, and taking the cosmetology course that focuses on hair and briefly touches upon makeup and nails.
The school also has a esthetician progam which puts a heavy emphasis on skincare. (Waxing, facials, learning about laser hair removal and cosmetic surgery) but they do a more indepth makeup lesson.
Look around at the schools in your area and see if they offer this program.

Although your interest is completely makeup, it won't hurt to have the hair license in case you find a makeup client needing hair services! More money in your pocket! :) Good luck to you!
