I Have Really Short Eyelashes. I Use Mascara But There Still Short. How Do I Make Them Longer?

Try curling your lashes to give them a nice curl, It helps making them look a little longer. I also use natural looking false lashes at times. Hope this helps!

Please don't use Vaseline on your eyes! It can clog pores and cause eye infections, and it doesn't do anything to help lash growth (though it can make it appear that way). The length of your eyelashes is determined by genetics, and the only thing that can actually make them grow is Latisse (the only PROVEN lash growth system). I do suggest using a lash primer before you apply mascara, because it can make your lashes appear longer, as well as fuller.

I agree, Vaseline would be a waste of time. What mascara are you using? Try one like loreal telescopic. I have super short lashes and it works for me :)

There are steps you can take so the amount of lashes that come out gets lessened making them have an opportunity to grow longer:
Do NOT pick at excess mascara when you remove your makeup. Even if no lashes are pulled out, it causes stress to the follicles causing them to.
Don't curl your lashes for a while. Lash curling also stresses the follicles.
Don't rub your eyes a lot. That stresses the follicles too.
One of the best things you can do is go without mascara for a while. I did this when my lashes were pretty spruce and I went about two months without mascara and it allowed them to grow in without being inhibited by external variables. An alternative to mascara to darken the lash line is lining the upper water line.
Put a small amount of olive oil on the roots of your lashes. It will moisturize the follicles
Do NOT buy products that "guarantee lash growth." The reason is because when hair stops growing, it stops growing for good. There are three phases to hair growth, which applies to all hair on the body, including the head hair. The first stage is the anagen phase, which is when the hair is actually growing. Hair on the scalp has about a two to six year long anagen phase, meaning that it will grow for that long without stopping. However, body hair (including eyelashes) have a significantly shorter anagen phase; body hair will only grow for a few months. The anagen phase stops when the blood supply to the hair follicles stops, throwing the follicle into a kind of "dormant" stage. The hair shaft just sits there until it falls out due to another hair coming in.
