This sounds dumb , but wash your hair with beer. It really works. Or get eggs and vitamin e oil and wash your hair in it

Well to help them would be a pair of scissors. To prevent them would be just doing hair treatments regularly and using loads of heat protection.
Try using coconut oil. If you have oily hair add castor oil. You can add olive oil for extra softness or honey ( which will brighten your hair. ) Oil treatments tend to brighten your hair so add a black tea or some coffee in it if you want your dark hair ( I almost ended up with blonde highlights because I do them so much.)
Remember to keep your hair moisturizer at all times.

Herbal essences have a split end shampoo, I've used it and it works:-) btw its in a red bottle.
