Rimmel have a really good nail varnish range designed to protect nails, might be worth a try! They have a new range called nail nurse, and they also sell nail rescue which is a 14 day hardening treatment and a 'stronger' clear nail paint which is a strengthening and hardening base coat which I wear to help keep my nails intact and prevent damage to them when I'm at work :)

Possibly you aren't careful with your fingers/ nails and damage them before they grow up, from the roots/ or you have some health problems, vitamins deficit/ or you cut the cuticle and damage them... so try to find out the reason, maybe google a lil and use a buffer to make the surface smooth, apply polish to protect them:-)

Wearing false nails can cause that. not sure if you do but if so take break from them. Let it grow out completely.

Mine have dents in them as well. I noticed I had them after I wore acrylics. I'm not sure if that's what caused yours, but it's a thought.

My nails are similar, especially my thumb nails! I find the best thing to do is use a nail buffer to smooth the surface (not too often) and use a good nail strengthener, the opi and sally Hansen ones are good. I find with my nails the ridges grow naturally but it's definitely worse if I pick my nail varnish off - so try to avoid that too!

False nails cause dents that you have to outgrow. So if you get them stop.

I have dents too but its from cancer treatment I had a few years ago. If you have dark spots visable under your nail definitely see a doc about it.

Acrylic and false nails nails do that a lot especially when people bite of pull them off. If you get acrylic nails, be sure to soak them off. Get a soft buffer and smooth the surface out and that will reduce the appearance of lines and dents on the nail plate.

Dents and bumps on your nails could also be due to vitamin deficiencies. Check with your doctor for a simple blood test.
