Plum lipstick. Eye ideas?

I'm wearing plum lipstick tonight to a very professional benefit that will have some of the top hairdressers attending! What kind of eye should I do? I want to show off my makeup techniques in hopes somebody will be interested in me! Smokey eye? Neutral smokey eye? I need opinions!

It's a very nice deep colour and I feel like a smokey eye might take away from the lips. I would stick with a neutral makeup and winged liner or if you want a smokey eye then do a neutral one.

I'm seeing smoky eye.. just not a crazy one. a nice puff of smoke that gives you a sense of that sense of mystery.. ;-)

A neutral smoky eye would look amazing. Just don't make it too smoky. Or focus more on your complexion and do less for the eyes; maybe just a winged liner but highlighting and contouring.
