I had the same problem until I tried garnier's new moisture match moisturisers that come in different strengths depending how dry your skin is - I bought the dry to very dry one (pink) and have never had a problem since!

Try an oil as well as moisturiser! I've read that the skin needs more than just moisture- I use rosehip oil and then I use moisturizer over it and it really helps!! rose hip oil also does a lot of good for the skin in general and helps with scarring and ageing and it makes your skin feel so soft! x

I swear by my sweet almond oil and apricot oil as of late. Love how hydrating it is.

How is your daily water intake? I found that drinking a lot of water everyday helped my dry skin (I also have eczema). I use Bio-Oil nightly and exfoliate weekly with the St. Ives Appriocot Scrub. For moisturizer, I use Physicians Formula's Moisture Balance series.

Liz Earle. Me and my mum swear by it! We both use the dry/sensitive moisturiser, and she's had the nest condition skin she's had since she was 20, and she gets really bad facial eczema, and it is pretty much gone since she started using Liz Earle.

If your skin is flaky and rough it is most likely dehydrated and simply needs to be rehydrated, drink lots of water and find a good rehydrating moisturizer. Dry and dehydrated skin are two completely different things.
