If you haven't already done so, head over to Naturallycurly.com and CurlyNikki forums for a wealth of information from people who are now rocking their natural curls. I was long term transitioner, no BC here. My transition style was a braidout which kept both my curly and relaxed textures in check. I initially swore by Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue but once I discovered Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, that quickly became my new styler. Had the Cantu Coconut Curling Cream been around at the time, it would have been my "go to" styler. I love that stuff. As a new transitioner it's important to develop certain habits now as you begin to transition. A few things: conditioner is your hair's BFF. Detangle your hair with conditioner in it ( cheap conditioners are great for this), deep condition your hair once a week, avoid using heat on your hair, don't feel the need to buy every new product on the market, don't feel the need to buy every product your favorite YTer is using on her hair. Transitioning demands patience and commitment and it can be challenging and frustrating, you will have good and bad hair days so just know that's all part of the process. As a new transitioner it's important to not fixate so much on someone else's curls cause your curls may not be the same as theirs and lastly, cause this post is waaaay too long, know that your hair will grow, it may not grow as fast as you'd like but it will grow.

That was so helpful. Thank you so much. I was going to do the BC but now after reading this I might just do protective styles like braids or something. Thank you oh so much!
