I would actually go see a doctor because I had the same thing and went to the doctor because of something else and apparently my hair loss was a symptom too.

That has been happening to me too, and my mom is actually taking me to the doctor because I've been showing more than 2 signs of depression. I would see a doctor, too. Mine falls out in clumps, and my hair has gotten super thin.

Give your scalp a massage every day for 10 minutes and flip your head upside down for about 2 minutes to get the blood circulating around the follicles. Eat eggs and poultry for protein, your hair is protein so it requires it to grow. Drink plenty of water to hydrate and eat plenty almonds, fish and dark green vegetables. Biotin also helps, and check your iron intake too. And make sure to maintain the health and moisture of your hair using hydrating hair masks, like the Moroccan argan oil hair mask from Pro Naturals, that’s what helped me a lot.

^ I'm sorry to say but none of that stuff works. Using good products and taking care of it and your body of course help. But scalp massages and flipping your head upside down? Not a chance. It increases circulation yes, but it is already getting enough circulation otherwise your skin would be changing colors and/or rotting.

Second, you naturally lose hair. You lose old hair so new hair can grow in it's place. It is simply the hair growth cycle starting over. It is normal and you shouldn't freak out unless you start getting bald spots or can see your scalp.

If you notice you are losing more hair then before it is something you should check out. it could be something temporery but if it goes on more then about a month first do blood work and see if it isn't a health issue or iron/vitamin/mineral shortege. aside from that all the tips you were given above are great (including the scalp massage- you don't need to lose circulation completely to imcrease the blood flow a bit) for me a mineralized shampoo with mud from the dead sea helped a lot!
good luck!

^ They specifically tell you in cosmetology school that those exact things listed above won't do anything for hair growth, etc. They increase blood flow, yes, but that does not change anything about your hair.
